What is Support your school?

Support your school is a fundraising platform for schools managed by Peters, the UK’s leading specialist children's book and furniture supplier to schools.

We enable schools and their communities to raise funds to support children’s literacy.

Our mission

Support your school was set up in 2019 in response to schools' rising challenges to their budgets, leaving less towards literacy, reading enjoyment, and dedicated reading spaces. We wanted to make it as easy as possible for schools to fund efforts towards boosting reading for pleasure and improving literacy.

In 2025, 1 in 7 primary schools still do not have a library or library space. The National Year of Reading 2026 is a positive step towards building a national reading culture and taking the benefits of literacy seriously. We will continue to support our registered schools with fundraising towards much-needed resources for reading spaces and libraries.

Why join Support your school?

Support your school is a free fundraising platform towards children's reading for pleasure with no hidden fees or costs to join. 100% of funds raised goes towards the books and resources you need.

You don't need to worry about the administration, or ringfencing your donations. Once you're ready to spend your hard-earned funds, simply get in touch.
