The Crypt School

The theme of this year's Carnegie list is: CELEBRATE THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP AND PICTURES TO CREATE EMPATHY, CONNECTION AND HOPE. We would like to have multiple copies of the shortlist so that a small group of students from a range of years can read them at the same time. They will then discuss and write reviews to be shared with other upper school students. This is to encourage more of our older students to read. If we happen to raise more money than we need, it will be spent on books aimed at Years 9 and above. We have such enthusiastic (and well-supplied) readers in Years 7 and 8, and into 9. It would be enormously helpful to have books in the library which would continue to be of interest as they grow up, and ones to engage more of our present students in Years 9-13.
